The Philadelphia Eagles will face the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night without their starting quarterback, a change that has shifted the market price for the outcome of the game. Jalen Hurts is out for the remainder of the 2026 season after suffering a blood clot in his calf. This injury leaves the team with a 2-4 record and a four-game losing streak. The Cowboys, also at 2-4, arrive in Philadelphia with a strong offensive unit but a defense that allows the third-most yards in the league.

The Eagles have struggled to generate points since their initial victories. The offense averaged just 14.5 points during their last four losses. Tanner McKee took over at quarterback and threw for 215 yards in last week's 25-14 defeat against the Carolina Panthers. The running game has been equally ineffective, averaging only 35 yards per game in that span. The offensive line has been depleted by injuries, retirements, and trades, which has limited the ability to sustain drives.

Running back Saquon Barkley is expected to return to the lineup after missing the last two games with a hamstring injury. His return is critical because Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley are both on the injured reserve list. Barkley’s presence provides the Eagles with a primary playmaker in a position that has been thin all season. The team will need to rely on his ability to break tackles and extend plays to keep the offense moving.

The Dallas offense remains a potent force despite recent defensive concerns for the Eagles. Dak Prescott is fourth in the league with 1,639 passing yards and has thrown 10 touchdowns against five interceptions. Two of those interceptions came in last week's 23-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens have combined for 81 receptions and 1,005 yards. Their production keeps the Eagles defense on the backfoot, forcing them to cover the entire field.

The Eagles defense has not performed well this season, ranking 27th in the NFL by allowing 363.8 yards per game. The Cowboys offense averages more than 25 points per contest, which poses a significant scoring threat. The two teams combined allow just over 49 points per game, suggesting a high-scoring potential. However, the Eagles have shown an ability to limit scoring in recent weeks, though their consistency has been lacking.

Prediction market data from SportsLine reflects the current state of play. The model simulations show Dallas winning 62% of the time. On the Kalshi platform, shares for a Dallas victory are priced at $0.66 each. This price point indicates that traders view the Cowboys as the clear favorite despite their identical win-loss record to the Eagles. The market has adjusted quickly to the absence of Jalen Hurts and the Eagles' recent offensive stagnation.

The total points market shows a different trend. The SportsLine model predicts the teams will combine for fewer than 44.5 points in 54% of simulations. Traders on Kalshi can buy the under 44.5 points for $0.51. Conversely, the over 44.5 points is trading at $0.50. This near-even pricing suggests that while the Eagles are favored to lose, the total score is uncertain. The presence of two potent offenses could push the number up, but the Eagles' defensive efforts might hold it down.

The game takes place in Week 7 of the NFL season. Both teams are fighting to improve their standing in the NFC East. The Eagles have lost four in a row after winning the first two games of the season. The Cowboys have been inconsistent, but their offensive talent provides a path to victory. The outcome of this matchup will influence the remainder of the regular season for both clubs, as they look to secure a playoff position.
