Residents of Indianapolis can enter the Klipsch headquarters on the northwest side of the city this weekend. The audio manufacturer is holding Klipsch Fest, a two-day public open house scheduled for Friday and Saturday. This marks the first time the company has welcomed the general public into its facility.

The event coincides with the 80th anniversary of Klipsch, a brand that has produced premium loudspeakers since 1946. It also aligns with the 80th anniversary of Onkyo, another audio brand owned by the parent company Premium Audio Co. Klipsch has operated from its current Indianapolis location for more than 25 years, using the site as a center for product design and engineering.

Matt Sommers, the global creative director for Premium Audio Co., demonstrated the company’s latest technology during a recent preview. He showcased the Reference Premiere speakers, which feature a distinct black and copper design and horn-loaded technology. Sommers also presented the Stratus headphones and a limited-edition Bluetooth speaker developed in partnership with the film The Odyssey.

The company’s product lineup includes headphones, Bluetooth speakers, sound bars, home theater systems, and high-fidelity speakers. A central piece of that lineup is the Klipschorn, a model recognized as the longest continuously produced loudspeaker in history. The company has expanded its reach into automotive and recreational products over the past five years.

Klipsch audio systems are now installed in the Infiniti QX80, Ram Tungsten, and Airstream trailers. The brand also partners with Keystone recreational vehicles and La-Z-Boy, which integrates Klipsch technology into the headrests of select recliners. Sommers described this expansion as a natural next step that brings high-end home audio experiences to vehicles and outdoor settings.

Visitors to the festival will access dedicated listening rooms and view product demonstrations. The event includes live entertainment and food trucks. Country music artist Clayton Anderson is set to perform in the company’s back parking lot on Friday. The celebration also features a museum-style display of audio innovation spanning eight decades.

Attendees will see and hear the first Klipsch loudspeaker, which was patented 80 years ago by founder Paul W. Klipsch. The historic unit will be demonstrated using the original soundtrack. The event runs through Saturday, with details available at klipsch.com.
