Travis Konecny broke his scoring drought in his return from injury on Sunday, helping the Philadelphia Flyers defeat the Utah Mammoth 6-3 at home. The victory snapped a three-game winless streak for the Flyers, who had gone 0-2-1 in that span.

Konecny missed 10 games with a lower-body injury but came back with a goal and an assist. He scored his first goal of the season at 1:06 of the second period, banking a shot off Utah goalie Karel Vejmelka to give Philadelphia a 2-1 lead. He later set up Christian Dvorak for a one-timer from the high slot to extend the Flyers' lead to 4-1. Konecny also recorded four hits in the contest.

Owen Tippett, who missed the previous six games with an upper-body injury, also returned to the lineup. Matvei Michkov opened the scoring for Philadelphia, snapping a shot past Vejmelka for his 10th goal of the season. Michkov became the first Flyer to score 10 goals in his first 17 games of a season since Konecny did so in 2023.

Dvorak and Noah Cates each finished with a goal and an assist. Oliver Bonk added another goal for Philadelphia, while goaltender Dan Vladar made 19 saves. The Flyers capitalized on their depth, with multiple players contributing to the final score.

Utah managed three goals in the loss. Dmitri Simashev scored the team's first goal. Mikhail Sergachev added a late power-play goal, and Logan Cooley scored his eighth goal of the season with an extra attacker on the ice. Cole Knuble iced the game for Philadelphia with an empty-net goal late in the third period. Karel Vejmelka made 15 saves for Utah, which has alternated wins and losses over its past eight games.

The Flyers will host the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night. Utah will continue its six-game road trip with a game in Toronto on Tuesday night.
