Seventy-three thousand people packed Nissan Stadium on June 29 to witness the final live concert of Alan Jackson's career. The event marks the end of a touring schedule that spans several decades and serves as a definitive record of his time on stage.

NBC will broadcast the recording of that night as "Alan Jackson: The Last Show" on December 8. Viewers will have the option to watch the program on the Peacock streaming platform on December 9. The special captures the entire evening, including the audience's reaction to the closing notes.

The performance featured a lineup of contemporary country artists who joined Jackson on stage. Those collaborators include Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Jake Owen, Jon Pardi, Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, Lainey Wilson, Lee Ann Womack, Adam Wright, Big City Brian Wright, and Carlisle Wright.

Jackson sang a selection of his most recognized tracks during the set. The list of songs included "Chattahoochee," "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere," "Remember When," "Gone Country," and "Livin' on Love." A live album titled "The Last Show: One More for the Road. The Finale (Live from Nashville)" will also contain audio from the performance.

Sam Wrench served as the director for the special. He previously directed the 2023 film "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" and this year's "Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special." His past credits include concert films for Sabrina Carpenter, Laufey, BTS, Brandi Carlile, Billie Eilish, Andrea Bocelli, and Mumford & Sons.

Jackson received induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2017 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2018. He was also elected to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2011. In 2021, he publicly disclosed that he had been living with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease for at least ten years. This degenerative nerve condition causes damage in the extremities and can affect a person's ability to walk.

Cindy Mabe, Dawn Gates, Harper Grae, Mike Antinoro, Raj Kapoor, Debbie Doebler, and RAC Clark served as executive producers for the project. The production was a joint effort between Joan of Arc StudioWorks and EverWonder Studio. Allison Roithinger, Victoria Chamlee, and Danny Meiseles acted as co-executive producers for EverWonder Studio.
